Many of my students are deficient in basic reading skills, including phonics. As such, I have attended staff development workshops on phonics. Additionally, as a voice student, I have used phonemic awareness to interpret pieces of music, especially those in foreign languages.

I really appreciated the way Ms. Callie worked with our daughter. She was very patient and understanding while implementing the skills needed during her tutoring sessions.
Matthew D. from Spring Lake, NC
For today's lesson Callie taught me how to start my introduction and conclusions when writing a paper. She also taught me about note taking and pulling information from sources when writing on a topic/paper. What I like about Ms. Callie tutoring is if you do not understand something she will go back, and break it down for you. The few lessons that I have had with Ms. Callie has helped me to accomplish creating a graphic organizer, how to write introductions and conclusions in a paper, and note taking from sources. Ms. Callie is a good tutor.
